Recipes precise enough to follow
Most recipes are stories with measurements sprinkled in. They work beautifully when you already know how to cook the dish — and leave you guessing when you don’t. How hot is “medium”? How long is “until done”? Which bowl was the sauce in again?
Soupdog is built on a different conviction: a recipe is a sequence of small, exact actions. One ingredient, one quantity, one tool, one step at a time — with times, temperatures, and what each step should look like when it’s done. Every recipe here is structured that way, from the shopping list down to the last garnish.
What that gets you
You always know what goes in the pan, how much, and when. Quantities carry through every step, so you never meet a mystery mixture. Tools are listed before you start, so nothing surprises you mid-cook. And because every recipe shares the same structure, once you’ve cooked one, you can cook any of them.
Where it’s going
Structure is the foundation for everything we want cooking to become — recipes that scale to your table, adapt to your kitchen and your appliances, and plan your week instead of just your evening. We’re building toward that, recipe by recipe.
Who’s behind it
Soupdog is founder-built and independent, made by people who cook. It started with a simple frustration — recipes that assume too much — and became a platform for never assuming anything.
Questions, ideas, or a recipe that let you down? We’d genuinely like to hear it.
