Irish Coffee combines hot brewed coffee with Irish whiskey and topped with lightly whipped double cream for a warming caffeinated cocktail.

Pour the cream into the small bowl.
Double cream · 45 ml
Pour the hot coffee into the heatproof glass.
Add the brown sugar and stir with the bar spoon until dissolved.
Light brown sugar · 2 tsp
Measure in the Irish whiskey.
Irish whiskey · 45 ml
Pour the cream slowly over the back of the bar spoon so it floats on top, and serve.

What you’ll doYou will lightly whip the cream so it still pours, dissolve brown sugar in hot coffee in a heatproof glass, add the Irish whiskey, then float the cream on top over the back of a bar spoon. The cream must be just thickened: too thin and it sinks, too thick and it will not pour.
